Developed this sketch further - it’s part of some ideas I’ve been throwing around for a bigger illustration piece, but this little one is cute too. I really liked how this turned out, even though some of it was a little surprising (thanks, Photoshop layer effects).

Make it Better Project (c) gsanetwork. This isn’t affiliated with them at all, but I agree that we should focus on making it better, not just waiting for it to get better all on its own, because it doesn’t necessarily work like that for everybody who is not Dan Savage. I could write for a long time about this, but hopefully that’s enough.

still a little sketchy in some areas/not edited carefully enough. it also doesn’t help that I can’t be bothered to go find a scanner to scan this, since that would be way better than taking a photo. oh well!

p.s. they are both male robins… aw!

Analysis of the whole Plan B debacle with regards to teen sexuality which I haven’t really discussed because oh man ragebending.

The “parental argument”, as I’m calling it, is basically that Plan B should be made available to younger women only with a prescription because doing so means a girl who needs it will have to out herself as sexually active to her parents. This argument is bad on a number of fronts. First of all, it’s a red herring. … Second of all, it’s a blatantly sexist argument…

I personally think there’s a lot of value in letting teenagers spend their high school years gradually gaining rights and responsibilities—-including sexual privacy rights and responsibilities—-instead of simply dumping them into adulthood at 18 and expecting them not to get overwhelmed.
